This week in math, the students have been exploring the different math materials in our classroom. They are enjoying playing with the different buckets housed in our math center, including wooden blocks, pattern blocks, and color tiles. Some students created pictures with the materials, others made patterns with them and some even counted them. We will continue exploring more materials into next week. Mrs. Niles told us that as the year goes on, we will be using these materials as we learn different math skills. I can't wait to learn about patterns, adding numbers, shapes, and more!
P.S. I had a great time making new friends this first week of school. I can't wait to come back next week!
