For the past few weeks, we have been learning about the season of fall. The last two weeks, we have also been learning the letter Ff. We have been reading books, learning songs, and doing art projects all related to this season. Today, we took a fall hunt around our school to see what we could find. Equipped with binoculars we made, we searched for different leaves and other fall items. We found leaves from a variety of trees, including maple, oak, hickory and birch trees (prior to going on our hunt we read a book about leaves where we learned how leaves come from different trees and are different shapes). Upon returning to our classroom, we sorted through our leaves and tried to match them to the kinds of trees they came from. We had a fabulous time on our hunt.
