Off We Go!

We have been working on a unit on transportation for the past few weeks.  We are reading books about different kinds of transportation.  We have been working on describing different kinds of transportation, specifically talking about their similarities and differences.  Above you will see the paintings of different kinds of transportation.  Each child needed to choose something to draw and then paint their pictures with watercolor paints.  When they were finished, they came up with a sentence (or two) to describe their picture.  Below you will see some of sorting we did with the different transportation vehicles the kids brought in for their homework.
Here are just a few of the books we read to explore this unit.  See some of them on the bookshelf to the right (put your cursor over the picture of the cover to read a short description of the book).
